These nuts are the simplest to install because they twist on by hand and need little torque. Equipment that is subject to light vibration, including panel covers and small electric motors, can be secured with the serrated edge's ability to grab surfaces. Although these locknuts are reusable, your surface may get marred by the serrations.
These locknuts are almost half as robust as medium-strength steel nuts and are rated Grade 2, Class 6, or lower. In order to prevent thread stripping during installation, use them with screws that have a comparable strength grade.
